| | My name is Joye' and I am an international traveler (at the behest of my government). I am currently living and working in Wurzburg, Germany for the 1st Infantry Division. Don't get confused - no - I am not an active duty soldier! I am currently a government contractor who fills a "green suiter" position here at the Division Headquarters at Leighton Barracks. I spent almost 20 years as an active duty Army soldier and am now an Army Reserve officer (Major).
I have lived and worked the world over. Relocation is not an issue with me - it depends on my feelings for the man.
I am a very young looking 50 (my soldiers' think I am 35!). I am 67 inches tall and normally weigh in at 148 - 152 pounds (around 10 - 11 stone). I'm petite, dark-haired with side wings of gray, striking looking, and am physically fit. My colleagues tell me I look like a younger, dark-haired version of 'M' (Dame Judith Dench) of James Bond fame. I didn't believe it until I saw my new official Army photograph - it made a believer out of me! Scary, even without all my medals - which have a tendency to scare the living daylights out of most soldiers!
I do not smoke and cannot stand extended hours in a truly smoky bar or pub - though I love British ale, Irish stout, and great pub food. I actually use Guinness to bake chicken. My favorite pub is on the Cambridgeshire/Northamptonshire border. It is called the White Hart and is located in the small village of Bythorn off the A14. I had the pleasure of teaching the owner/chef how to cook Cajun cuisine.
I enjoy dancing, reading, films, writing (I write romance and science fiction novels), art, museums, gourmet cooking, needlework, and my thumbs are absolutely green!
I am a former undercover narcotics and vice officer and have been a member of the international intelligence community for 26 years. Needless to say, I am widely traveled and speak multiple languages.
I am biding my time until retirement, when I will be able to do what I really want to do - write romance novels full-time and plant flowers (I love climbing roses). A man should be a man. A woman should be a woman. These beliefs are not mutually self-exclusive - though many believe them to be.
A friend said I was like an iceberg, though not frozen! Nine-tenths of me is under the surface. It has been a fascinating journey discovering who I am. For me, it still is!
